ISAAC features interactive modeling, hydrostatic computation, andsimulation of single/multihulled vessels. Major functions computedinclude: equilibrium finding, equilibrium position with given loadballast, ballast movement, minimum ballast movement for new vesselconfiguration, longitudinal bending moments deflections of loadedvessels, hydrostatic properties of a loaded ballasted vessel, hydrostaticstability assessed interactively, hydrodynamic inertia, loads, anddamping.Morison's equation is used for structure response to wave sets of a givenperiod and direction, RAO's calculated for motions of any point on thestructure, and 3-D diffraction is included for specifying hulls which donot interact. An internal database saves all the data, restart inherent.Existing models can be used, and several models can be combined. ISAACcomes in SI, English, or metric units. Separate function modules areavailable.
